I'm a teacher, writing coach, former columnist and textbook author. I've won a national teaching award, a small piece of a Pulitzer Prize awarded to the San Jose Mercury News city desk staff for its coverage of the Loma Prieta earthquake in 1989, and my share of poker hands. Though I'm currently a professor at Emerson College in Boston, all views expressed here are mine and mine alone.
If you'd like to share a thought or argue a point, I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I've begun a new blog, called News prints, at trueslant.com. Please stop by. I'll be doing all my blogging there for the foreseeable future so I will no longer be posting to this blog. The link is below.
